“I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me and followed my progress in 2007. I’m really looking forward to this year, a new team and a new challenge in the F3 Euroseries with Manor Motorsport”
Sam has kept busy since the end of his British F3 campaign. In December, he attended several functions, including the Race of Champions, where he represented his main sponsor BP in a karting challenge; he also attended several Award dinners, and has been on an intensive fitness training programme..
Best of all, he opened BP’s first service station to sell only its BP Ultimate advanced fuels range inside the Silverstone racing circuit. Sam enjoyed driving the Porsche GT around the track, “entertaining” the journalists who attended the event. “The car was awesome” said Sam “I wasn’t familiar with this Porsche and it was extremely wet on the track, but I just loved it.”
Sam celebrated his 21st birthday this week with a surprise party, and will be attending the Autosport International Show at the NEC on Thursday and Friday, January 10/11 where he will meet with sponsors BP and FREEM as well as taking part in a charity kart race, driving for both BP’s 102 team and with other MSA Race Elite drivers in David Brabham’s team on Friday afternoon.
